Fire-IT (PTY) Ltd (“we”, “us”) is a managed IT solutions provider based at Unit 4, 36 Regency Drive, Route 21 Business Park, Centurion. We are the responsible party for personal information processed through this website and our services.

Information you give us directly, such as your name, company, email, phone number and the details you include when you request a quote, check coverage or contact us.

Technical information collected automatically, such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, via cookies and analytics (Google Tag Manager / Google Ads).

We run our own first-party analytics to understand how this website is used, so we can improve it. For each visit we record the pages viewed, the tools used (such as the coverage checker, domain search and pricing tools), approximate location, device type and a one-way hashed version of your IP address. We never store your raw IP address.

If you accept analytics cookies, we also keep the specific terms you enter into these tools, including the addresses you search in the coverage checker, so we can see where demand is and plan our network. If you do not accept analytics cookies, we still count anonymous usage but do not store those search terms.

This analytics data is kept for 180 days and then automatically deleted. It is never sold, and it is used only to improve our website and services.

We apply appropriate technical and organisational safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls and least-privilege administration.

Production and backup data is hosted in South African data centres (Teraco Johannesburg and ADC Midrand).

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us deliver our services, under appropriate data processing agreements. Depending on the service, that includes connectivity carriers (Openserve, MFN, DFA, Link Africa, Liquid Telecom, Frogfoot), Microsoft (for 365 licensing and tenant provisioning), hardware and software vendors (for warranty and license registration), and delivery partners (for equipment shipments).

Where required by RICA, we collect and verify identification and business registration documents before activating connectivity services, and retain them as the law requires.

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for service delivery or legal requirements, including RICA records, billing and account information, and records we must keep for regulatory compliance. Information no longer required is securely deleted.

Under POPIA you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may object to certain processing. Contact our information officer to exercise these rights.

We use cookies and similar local storage for essential functionality and for our own first-party analytics. When you first visit, our cookie banner lets you accept or decline analytics; declining keeps usage anonymous and stops us storing the terms you search. You can also control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling some may affect site functionality.
